I learned of Steve Jobs’ passing on a plane. The details of his passing were revealed on me on an iPhone. How apt that his transition was broadcast by the very technology he created.

Rather than write a lengthy article on his life, which I in no way have the authority to do with any accuracy or true personal account, I will instead reflect briefly on my thoughts concerning Steve and his contributions to our world.

Steve did what I believe we all have the capacity to do, and that is to create lasting change in the world. He created a legacy that will outlive him for generations, but that legacy will not glorify his person. That legacy will shape the way we learn, the way we interact, the way we evolve.

Steve was the creator of lasting change.
